PANTHER CHAMELEONS

We believe that Panther Chameleons are the most spectacular reptile species currently available in the reptile trade. The colours on an adult male sometimes defy belief. As well as being beautiful, they are very well suited to life in captivity and in most cases not much more difficult to maintain than the Yemen’s Chameleon.
Virtually all male Panthers become tame enough take food from your hand and to crawl onto you when you place your hand in their vivarium. Females can also become good pets but don't display such outrageous colours as the males and consequently, generally command a lower price.

There are many different locales of Panther Chameleons and they all have certain unique characteristics and colours. The following are the localities that we are currently working with:

AMBILOBE

Ambilobes are one of the more regularly bred locales displaying stunning colours. Depending on bloodlines they can be red bar or blue bar variants. Our favourite locale.

NOSY BE

From the Island of Nosy Be, another excellent choice as a captive. A more uniform colour of green, turquoise or blue with flashes of red and yellow.

NOSY MITSIO

This locale hasn't been available for long but has shown itself to be a great captive and one of the easiest to breed. A more uniform green and sometimes yellow colour

ANKIFY/AMBANJA

Ambanjas are a little rarer than Ambilobes and a little subtler with lots of blues and purples. Ankifys are considered by some to be a sub-locality of Ambanja and are even better in colour.
